Heliodor, beryl
$1,200
Heliodor, sometimes called "yellow beryl" or "golden beryl", is a member of the large beryl family along with emerald, aquamarine and morganite. The yellow colors of the heliodor are usually caused by small amounts of iron in the crystal structure of the mineral.
The name "heliodor" is derived from two Greek words: helios, which means "sun", and doron, which means "gift". They combine as a “gift from the sun”.
