Chrysoberyl

Chrysoberyl is a fine stone (sometimes referred to as semi-precious) which can be green with shades of yellow, green or brown, transparent to translucent.
There are two other very rare and particularly sought after varieties of the same family: chrysoberyl cat's eye and alexandrite. We find them in pegmatites and in high pressure metamorphic rocks.
This one is bright yellow and has a remarkable shine.
